Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada and is an actor who has appeared in a variety of television shows. VanCamp also has a great record in the field of film. The actress is well-known on Canadian and American television. Emily first became interested when she watched her sister Katie doing a movie. After discovering her enthusiasm for the acting world Emily decided to enroll in classes for it and started auditioning. Her first audition was for a couple of commercials before being offered a role on the Canadian television show for children Are You Fearful of Darkness? which featured her only in one scene, without any spoken dialogue. The actress got her first big break at the age of 15 when she was cast as a regular on the WB program Glory Days. Emily's performance in Glory Days, a show on WB which ended up being cancelled 9 episodes later, drew the attention of and landed Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was also a dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her one of the most talented actors who were under twenty. Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
