Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with a growing following. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia in partnership, in addition to being a lifestyle expert. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it is not the whole picture. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her Instagram account, but she isn't making it the focal point of it. What message is it trying to convey? We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and we're greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart is interviewed via video in Nashville. "I don't want it to define my personal life. I do not want to be merely recognized as an expert in disabilities. The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my daily life. Everything is normal and I've learned to adjust. However, I also consider it to be a vital part of myself. Lockhart who is an inspiration for self-acceptance in general, is on a long process to attain this. She has been through times when she felt uncomfortable in the way she dressed and displayed her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wants and posts pictures on Facebook with pride. She says that self-love is a process. I'm not sure when you'll reach the point of no return. It's a journey, I don't think you ever arrive. It's important to have people that know and can relate to your situation. They'll be the ones asking you: What do you fret about?
